Perhaps like her Sex and the City character, Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah Jessica Parkerneeded a little more room for her shoes. The actress and husband Matthew Broderick recently purchased not one but two townhouses, side by side on West 11th Street in the heart of Manhattan’s Greenwich Village Historic District, for $35 million, reports StreetEasy. Built in 1900, the landmarked properties had been occupied by a nonprofit organization since 1920.

Once the single-family dwellings are combined, the home will have a stately 50-foot-wide brick façade, nine bedrooms, five baths, three half baths, and a grand total of 13,900 square feet—including a 2,100-square-foot landscaped garden. There’s also an elevator for easy access to each floor. What will the finished mega-mansion look like once SJP has made her mark? We’ll have to wait and see.
